Please find attached a map that depicts the street lighting wire theft(s) that has occurred within Council District 10 over the last 30 days. This problem puts neighborhoods in the dark and financially strains the City’s assessment fund for street lighting operations. As a result of recommendations from the Department of Public Works Wire Theft Task Force this information is being forwarded for use in impacted community meetings or as notifications to your local LAPD patrols.
Also, attached is a flyer that notifies residents of this problem and the appropriate actions they should take if they see suspicious activity. If you have any questions please contact Fabian Cheng at (213) 847 1459.

The UNNC and the CD 10 is hosting an E-Waste and Hazardous Waste Recycling Event and a Shredding Event at the CD 10 office this Saturday, Sept 24, 2011 from 9 am -12 pm.
From the CD-10 Office: You may not be aware that the Councilman’s (Herb) mother passed on the 29th of June. This is an announcement of her services.
As you’re cleaning out your garage for this weekend’s Annual Yard Sale – you might find some other materials that you want to get rid of (and cant’ sell – obviously). Well, you’re in luck – because that same day, there is an E-Waste and Hazardous Materials Collection taking place at the CD-10 office. It ends before the Yard Sale is over, though – so make sure you get your stuff over there before 1pm.
See the flyer for more details.
