When word sprung up about the possibility of a Trader Joe’s (and Nike Town) going in at District Square near Crenshaw & Rodeo Blvds., the next question being asked around Mid-City was what’s wrong with Mid-Town Crossing? Although many residents in Mid-City are in favor of any Trader Joe’s in our area, and have voiced their support, the obvious question is why are they not looking at the beautiful new shopping center built by CIM at Mid-Town Crossing. To date, the only big box store servicing that location is Lowes. And after all, CIM built the retail center in Hollywood that now houses the TJ’s on Vine St. – so maybe they can do the same for us in Mid-City?
Now, a campaign has started up to request a Trader Joe’s at Mid-Town Crossing. If you are someone who is in favor of this idea, be sure to write in a letter of support ASAP to Councilman Wesson.
