MINC Board Meeting – Monday, 10/17 at 7pm – Liquor Sales at Crenshaw/Washington Shopping Center

Please see the attached MINC Board Meeting agenda for this coming Monday at 7pm.

There are two items which might be of interest to the residents of Wellington Square.

1. The MINC Board will be taking up the issue of the conditional use beverage permit being sought by the Party Center Lounge (it’s a restaurant looking to sell beer and wine), in the shopping center on the northwest corner of Crenshaw and Washington. For any of you that were at the WSIA General Body meeting last Sunday, this is the issue that we discussed at length at the meeting. WSIA voted to send in a letter of support for the proposal, ONLY with a full list of conditions that the restaurant/center would need to accept. There were a lot of strong opinions on this issue – so if you’d like the MINC Board to hear how you feel, please be sure to attend, and voice your comments. The permit is due to go up for approval at a hearing on October 25th.

2. The MINC Board will be discussing signage affecting CIM development site (Lowes). After meeting with 16th Place and some city folks, it became clear there are 2 meetings NEXT week that may affect signage at CIM site… and most notably the possibility of signage facing stakeholders on 16th Place.

As always, the public is welcome to attend any MINC meetings. The meeting is held at the LAPD – Wilshire Division Police Station, Community Room, 4849 Venice Blvd, Los Angeles CA 90019-5664. Parking is available right next to the police station, behind Broadway Federal Credit Union.

We hope to see you there!
