LA Animal Services, with the help of its various spay/neuter partner organizations (including Found Animals Foundation, the Heigl Foundation, Clinico, the Amanda Foundation Best Friends Animal Society, Coalition for Pets and Public Safety and the Sam Simon Foundation), is making a big push to make spay/neuter surgeries more available and more affordable to Angelenos this month. Various parts of the city are being targeted for special attention and various special events and promotions are going on to get the attention of L.A.’s companion animal guardians.
See the attached flyer promoting the effort. Please feel free to share with your lists, community contacts, your friends and family, and anyone else you think would benefit from seeing it. Some details are as follows: Free Surgery Weekend Feb 19-20- Found Animals Foundation is sponsoring a weekend of FREE S/N for low income pet owners on Feb 19-20. They hope to do at least 450 free surgeries that weekend!
- Starting today, pet owners can request a free surgery online at http://bit.ly/hhnkUY or by calling 1-800-SPAY-4-LA and following the message instructions.
- Surgeries will be taking place at all three Clinic locations (including the Harbor and Van Nuys animal shelters) as well as the Spay4LA mobile unit operating in South LA.
