The Department of City Planning is revising it’s city-wide design guidelines – which means that they’re getting ready to implement the new guidelines for how structures in all areas (residential, commercial, and industrial) will be designed for the next 20-30 years. If you’re interested to see what they’re planning to change and want to comment on that, the deadline for feedback online is September 27th.
All of the information is on their website – although there is no direct link. Just go to http://cityplanning.lacity.org and click on “Proposed City Design Guidelines” (the second item on the righthand list of contents). Then from there click the first item “Proposed Citywide Design Guidelines” – and that will take you to each of the sets of guidelines, as well as FAQ’s and the feedback form to fill out and send in by the 27th.
