Crenshaw/LAX Transit Corridor Station & Maintenance Facility Planning Workshops

Status of Environmental Assessment for Candidate Maintenance Facility Sites

The operation of a new transit line requires a maintenance facility. Currently, Metro is evaluating options for the required facility. Several sites are being considered. An Environmental Assessment/Revised Draft Environmental Impact Report (EA/Revised Draft EIR) focusing solely on maintenance facility issues is scheduled to be available for public review and comment later this year. Originally scheduled for a summer release, it was determined that additional analysis is required to evaluate which option best serves the needs of the Crenshaw/LAX Light Rail Transit Line. As soon as our evaluation is complete, we will send a Save-the-Date notice for the public hearing.
